Having been awarded Ph.D. in Botany by NEHU, I taught Botany in a college for 20 years and Environmental Science in a University for 6 years and guided 3 students and 1 ongoing ( total -4) for Ph.D. in Env.Sc. Besides 4 research publications, worked in a Meghalaya Pollution Board project on coal mining, World Bank Project on Biodiversity Assessment in Ri-Bhoi and Garo Hills, evaluation of project on Integrated Farming in Meghalaya, establishment of steam distillation unit for medicinal and aromatic plants in Meghalaya. Worked with National Afforestation Board of MoEF&CC in conducting monitoring & evaluation, documentation, workshop, training and exposure activities in afforestation programmes in NER notwithstanding a short stint with an international NGO' PRAGYA' in Haryana.Currently implementing an UNDP funded project on biodiversity conservation, climate change and land degradation in Ri-Bhoi district in Meghalaya.
