Shri. Chandrashekhar H. Vijayashankar

Shri Chandrashekhar H. Vijayashankar, born on 21st October 1956 in Makanoor, Karnataka, is a seasoned Indian politician and the current Governor of Meghalaya, appointed by Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, on 30th July 2024. His political journey began in 1994 as an MLA from Hunsur, Karnataka, and later as a Member of Parliament representing Mysore in the 12th and 14th Lok Sabha. Notably, in 2004, he defeated the royal scion Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, underscoring his strong public connect and leadership.

Dr. Vasanthi Vijayakumar

Dr. Vasanthi Vijayakumar, an accomplished academician, administrator, and visionary leader, was appointed Vice Chancellor of Captain Williamson Sangma State University by the Hon’ble Governor of Meghalaya. With over three decades of experience in higher education, she served with distinction at her alma mater, Madras Christian College (MCC), as Associate Professor and later as Head of the History Department from 1986 to 2018. Known for her integrity and commitment to holistic education, she played a pivotal role in nurturing both students and faculty with a strong foundation in values.
