Bio:
Dr. Sharalyne Khyriemmujat is Assistant Professor and Head of Sociology at Shillong College, with 20 years of teaching experience. She earned her PhD from North-Eastern Hill University, focusing on Ka Niam Khasi, and authored A Sociological Study of the Khasi Religion. Her research covers Sociology of Religion, Family, Kinship, and Indigenous Knowledge of Northeast India. Widely published and an active conference presenter, she is Chief Editor of Echoes from the Hills. As NSS Programme Officer, she was named Best Programme Officer in 2014. Since 2006, she has led her department with dedication, promoting education, research, and Khasi cultural heritage.
