Bio:
Master in Garo from NEHU 2006 and M’Phil in Folkloristics from Gauhati University Guwahati Assam’ in 2011. Before entering in teaching profession I worked as a research assistant in Anthropology Department at NEHU in 2013-14 on the topic Rice and A’ba cha’a Stories project sponsored by INGCA New Delhi and in 2018, An Endangered Material Culture of the Garos of Meghalaya in the same department. I also worked with the EPTISA, for six months project which is on the Survey of four villages of Community Livelihood sponsored by JICA in 2018. In 2019, documentation on Durama Range specially Nokrek and Balpakram National Parks for declaration of World Heritage Sute, sponsored by UNESCO . Besides, above, as a free lance researcher I have visited different villages of the Garo Hills region and documented some oral literature and published five numbers of books and numbers of literary articles in both Garo and English languages. Served as the Assistant Professor in ICFAI University, Meghalaya from 2020 - 2025.
