Dr. Evakorlang Kharkongor is the former Principal of Shillong College, Shillong. She joined in the Department of Economics in 1994 and served as an Associate Professor until her appointment as Principal on November 2020 to 31st January 2025.
For over 30 years of service in Shillong College, Dr E. Kharkongor has been spearheading developmental projects that have left a lasting impact on the college. Since taking the helm in 2020, she has been the driving force behind the institution's remarkable growth and success elevating it to the prestigious status of an A+ Grade institution with a CGPA of 3.33 awarded on June 2023. Through visionary leadership, academic innovation and a steadfast commitment to excellence she has fostered an environment of inclusivity and growth and ensuring that every student is empowered to reach their fullest potential.
