1. General Questions
Q1. When did the university start? The university will officially begin its first session in August 2025.
Q2. Is the university recognized by UGC? Yes, the university is recognized under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956.
Q3. What programs are being offered this year? Currently, Postgraduate programs in Arts and Commerce streams are being offered.
Q4. Where is the university located? The university is located at CWSSU Balagre, Tura, West Garo Hills, Meghalaya.
Q5. Who can apply for admission? For PG programs, students must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Candidates must possess a 3-year Bachelor?s Degree with Honours in the relevant subject (50%+), OR a general Bachelor?s Degree with 65% aggregate in the subject.
Q6. Who can apply for hostel accommodation? Students from outside the local area are eligible. Hostel seats are limited and allotted on a first-come, first-served basis with preference to outstation students.
2. Application Process
Q7. Where can I apply for admission? You can apply online through our admission portal at cwssu.ac.in
Q8. Do I need to register before filling the application? Yes, you must register with your mobile number and email before starting the application.
Q9. Can I apply for more than one course? Yes, you may select more than one program and arrange them in your order of preference.
Q10. Is there an entrance test? No entrance test is required for the current academic session. Selection is based on merit.
3. Document Upload & Certificate Questions
Q11. What documents do I need to upload? Passport-size photo, Signature, Class X & XII mark sheets, ST Certificate (if applicable), and any other relevant certificate.
Q12. What is the file size and format allowed? Each file must be under 350 KB. Accepted formats: .jpg, .png, .gif, .webp, .pdf (for certificates).
Q13. I belong to the ST category. What should I upload? Upload your valid ST certificate under the Community Certificate section.
Q14. I don't have my final results yet. Can I still apply? Yes. You can select 'Result Awaited' in the qualification status while filling the form.
4. Payment and Confirmation
Q15. What is the application fee?This information will be uploaded in the Fee Structure page of the Website.
Q16. Is the application fee refundable? No. The application fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.
Q17. How do I confirm if my application was submitted successfully? After submitting the form and payment, a confirmation page will appear. You will also receive an email/SMS confirmation.
5. Technical Support
Q18. I didn't receive an OTP. What should I do? Wait a few minutes and try resending. Ensure your number/email is entered correctly.
Q19. The page isn't loading properly. Try refreshing or switching to Google Chrome or another modern browser.
Q20. Can I edit my form after submission? No, once submitted, the form cannot be edited. Review all details before submitting.
