Admission Process Overview
Welcome to the online admission portal of Captain Williamson Sangma State University (CWSSU).
The Admission Portal has been designed to provide applicants with a simple, secure, and convenient platform for submitting applications to the University's postgraduate programmes. Applicants are advised to read the instructions carefully before proceeding with the online application and to ensure that all information provided is accurate and supported by the required documents.
Please keep your registered mobile number and email address active throughout the admission process, as all important communications, including notifications and updates, will be sent through these registered contact details.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates seeking admission must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university:
- With Honours in the relevant subject and a minimum of 50% marks, OR
- A General degree with the relevant subject and an overall aggregate of 65% or above.
Application Fee:

for General category applicants -
₹200
for ST/SC category applicants
(Note: The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstance.)
How to Apply
Step 1: Register
Begin your application by creating your applicant account.
- Visit the official CWSSU website at www.cwssu.ac.in and open the Admission Portal.
- Register using your mobile number.
- Verify your mobile number through the OTP sent to your phone.
- Complete the registration process.
Step 2: Fill the Application Form
Log in to the Admission Portal and complete the Application Form by providing the following details:
- Name
- Gender
- Date of Birth
- Community
- Religion
- Marital Status
- Email Address (OTP verification required)
- Permanent & Correspondence Address
- Parent / Guardian Details
Click Save and Next after completing this section.
Step 3: Enter Academic Details
Complete the Educational Qualification section by entering details of:
- Class X
- Class XII
- Bachelor's Degree
For each qualification, provide:
- Board / University
- Stream / Major
- Year of Passing
- Marks Obtained
- Total Marks
- Result Status (Passed / Awaiting)
Additional qualifications may be entered using the Add Qualification option.
Click Save and Next to continue.
Step 4: Upload Documents
Upload all required documents in JPG, PNG, PDF or WEBP format. The maximum file size permitted is 350 KB per document.
Personal Documents
- Passport-size Photograph (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm)
- Signature
- ST/SC Certificate (if applicable)
- Other relevant certificates (if applicable)
Educational Documents
- Class X Marksheet / Certificate
- Class XII Marksheet / Certificate
- Bachelor's Degree Marksheet / Certificate (where applicable)
- Other educational documents, if required
After uploading all documents successfully, click Save and Next.
Step 5: Review & Submit Your Application
Before submission, carefully review all the information entered.
- Review the Preview Page.
- Select your preferred Institution.
- Choose up to two programmes in order of preference.
- Click Save and Next.
- Read the Declaration carefully.
- Select the "I Agree" checkbox.
- Submit your application.
Step 6: Pay the Application Fee
Log in to the Admission Portal and complete the payment using any one of the following payment methods:
- UPI
- Debit Card
- Credit Card
- Net Banking
Step 7: Confirmation
After successful submission of your application and payment of the application fee:
- Verify your application details through the Applicant Dashboard.
- Download and save the completed Application Form.
- Download and retain the Payment Receipt for future reference.
Hostel Accommodation
Hostel Preference
Applicants may indicate their preference for hostel accommodation while submitting the online application form.
Important Information
- Indicating hostel preference does not guarantee hostel accommodation.
- Hostel allotment will be made only after admission is confirmed.
- Allotment is subject to availability of rooms and the University's Hostel Allotment Guidelines.
Important Instructions
Before You Apply
- Ensure that all information entered in the application form is accurate and complete.
- Keep scanned copies of all required documents ready before beginning the application.
During the Admission Process
- Use a valid mobile number and email address throughout the admission process.
- Retain your Application ID until the admission process is completed.
Anti-Ragging Declaration
Zero Tolerance
Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited within the University campus, hostels and all University-related activities.
Mandatory Undertaking
Every admitted student shall submit the prescribed Online Anti-Ragging Undertaking through the National Anti-Ragging Portal.
Important
Failure to submit the prescribed undertaking may result in the withholding of admission formalities.
