Bio:

I hold a Master’s in Botany (Ecology) and a PhD in Botany (Algal Ecology) from NEHU, Shillong. With 10+ years of teaching and 18 years of research experience, I’ve completed five DST-funded projects, resulting in four patented prototypes. I’ve mentored 3 PhD scholars (3 ongoing) and guided 106+ MSc dissertations. My academic output includes 35+ research papers, 15 book chapters, 2 authored books, and 1 edited volume. I’ve presented at 40+ conferences and delivered numerous invited talks. I’ve received awards including the Best Mentor Award (NERAMAC), Award of Excellence in Research, and International Achievers Award. I organized an international conference (DST-SERB, CSIR, INSA funded), conducted green audits for colleges, and actively involve students in ideathons, hackathons, and cultural events—demonstrating my commitment to education, research, and sustainable development.
